Table For Two: Table for Solutions For Couples

Choosing tables for a house just for two can be a challenge. There are many factors; available space, size of the furniture and plainly, personal preference. A few creative applications can turn this dilemma into a designing success.

If your apartment has both kitchen and dining area incorporated into a single space, you can maximize this by making use of a kitchen counter table. The space will allow you to save on horizontal area by restricting the surface area to just a few feet and using tall, space-saving tools instead of wide chairs. You can have your meal fresh from the stove. The kitchen counter table also make a nice divider between the main kitchen and the rest of the room.

Another in-kitchen dining solution is to have a small dining nook in a corner. A table for two set against a warm cozy kitchen is the perfect spot to have a quiet meal or share a moment over a cup of coffee.

If the living room has turned into your main eating area because of your lifestyles, you can add a few elements to your coffee table and make it an appropriate dining space. Put utensils in a box or basket with a lid. If your coffee table has drawers or shelves underneath, store your cutlery and tablemats there. You can eat from the sofa or sit down on the floor on comfortable cushions. Dining in the living room doesn’t always have to be about tv trays and plastic dining ware.

If you already have a huge wooden table and find it too big for mealtime, you can use it as a workspace instead. Set up a home office and share the huge desk, either sitting side by side or opposite each other. Mark your work areas with attractive desktop organizers and give each side its own working lamp.

You can adjust your tables in the house according to your space and your needs.
